We were very happy and feel wonderful to see him did the breath in and out tai chi technique. Then he suddenly went to the bed frame on his side to stretch both legs for side kick. He was also asking papa to assist him holding the knee in order to sharpen the kick. It was sooo unexpected to see this tiny little boy tried to memorize all the steps and followed it easily. The question now is, we wonder how could he've ever imagined all these taekwondo thingie because we have never ever taught him so! At the same time I have always warned hubby not to push or teach him for taekwondo because we have actually planned to let him choose his way whichever he feels comfortable and practical..it was soo miracles!

Rumah Baru Baby Baru..(adeke?)

I am 10 weeks pregnant as of today, with our second child. Our son is nearly turn 2, so this came as quite the surprise. Masya Allah! It’s all I could say.
Hmmm mostly I feel wonderful ... when I'm not tired. But then its hard not to be tired when you are out of bed by 5.30 a.m., leave home at 6:30 (earlier if we can get out the door…argh) and not get back home until 6:30 on an early day. Add on to that is a little son who has to be entertained, bathed, taken to day care, fed, etc. etc. There was one night that I cried when my son cried because I'm tired and frustrated and I wouldnt be able to help him with whatever it was that he wanted. I gave him what I think he needs but at this stage in my pregnancy I can't always give him what he wants and what I'd like to be able to do for him. Luckily papa was there at that moment and settled everything with faheem. It was so kesian looking at both of them slept together on that night. may Allah give me stength to go through this journey which has just started.

On another part, which I feel sooo grateful is.... I have yet to have any morning sickness. What a blessing!!! I am hoping for a babygirl this time around . A healthy baby girl that is! Even though papa and faheem were hoping for another boy..(argh I dun care guys!) Hehe.. and huh..Everyone keeps telling me that it's boy because I havent had any sickness but who knows?!!? I will find out the sex of my baby in another month or so and until then I will keep my hopes steady. If it’s a boy, I will love him just the same because it doesn’t really seem to matter anymore, just as long as the baby is healthy then we are happy enough.

At certain stage I do not hope for anything for this pregnancy as my hubby keeps telling and always remind that we can only do our part as best as we can to take care and pray for the baby and leave it the rest to god as He is the Main Creator to each one of us.I truly believe only God knows everything in the womb. Subhanallah.

‘But Allah is the best of guardians; and He is the most merciful of the merciful.Allah knows what every female(womb) bears, and by how much the wombs fall short (of completion) and or do exceed. And everysingle thing is before His sight’, in (due) proportion.

(Ar Rad:8)

P.S: The above du’a has been commonly use (Islamic medicine) for safety of baby and mother during pregnancy. E.g: for fear of miscarriage.

So now we have 6 months to go, and we are counting them down. We can't wait to see this little angel that God has given to us. To tell u the truth, being pregnant is such a blessing, When you're pregnant, you learn to love, and live not only for yourself, but for your little wonderous human growing inside you!

I really praise Allah for this 2nd bundle of joy. I have already forgotten though how labour was during my first, what I just know is that it is very painful, but the pain is overcome by the expectation and really really worth it.

So mothers out there ..be happy! Yeay!! labour is just for a few hours, but the baby is a pure gift from God.

Phd in History, Political Science & International Relations

VICTORIA UNIVERSITY OF WELLINGTON,New Zealand

Supervision for research for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is offered in most subject areas taught at Victoria. The PhD is examined by thesis after a period of a minimum of three years of supervised research at Victoria. However, PhD theses normally require more time than this.

The PhD thesis is a major piece of original research. Word length varies according to the nature of each project, but something like 60,000 to 100,000 words is typical. According to the PhD Statute, a PhD thesis ‘demonstrates the candidate’s ability to carry out independent research’ and must also be ‘a significant contribution to the knowledge or understanding of a field of study’. As well as intelligence and research aptitude, the degree requires considerable dedication and tenacity.

On completion, the thesis is assessed by three examiners, usually one from Victoria, one from another New Zealand university and one from an overseas university. For some PhDs, in particular those in science, this is followed by an oral examination

Should anyone is interested with the programme, please feel free to leave your feedback here.

Leptospirosis- Toxic infection from rat urine

WE ALL DO IT!

Received an email from my md..

A woman went boating one Sunday taking with her some cans of coke which she put into the refrigerator of the boat.
On Monday she was taken to the hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died on Wednesday. The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the can of coke she drank from, not using a glass.
Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis. Rat urine contains toxic and deadly substances.
It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of soda cans before drinking out of them. The cans are typically stocked in warehouses and transported straight to the shops without being cleaned. A study at NYCU showed that the tops of soda cans are more contaminated than public toilets (i.e.) full of germs and bacteria.
So wash them with water before putting them to the mouth to avoid any kind of fatal accident.

As a woman especially we have to be EXTRA careful with foods and so and drinks we will be serving to family. Its simply because sometimes they might forget to wash their hand(pnumonia risk can be reduced!) or clean the stuff properly. Well, it happens sometimes since there's a lot of things to be done and the process is in another word.. slow.hehe .I hope everyone had a greta weekend last week.
At about 3 am this morning, heard Faheem laughed and tried to play peek a boo(his favourite game),although now he has moved into a version of hide n' seek mixed with peek-a-boo. Eventhough it was in the dark, I could still saw him struggling to put the duvet over my face, pulled it then he laughed out loud and gave me a big great smile. Oohh what a beautiful smile he has! Again for the second time, I wake up to layan faheem instead of continuing my sleep.
After nursing (again!) then he spent about half an hour crawling around in the bed in the dark while my husband was on the left side to make sure he won’t fall off the bed. Then finally he fell asleep (he almost always needs to nurse to fall asleep).
We co sleep as well so that makes it a little easier. Usually both of us will take turn palying with faheem(but normally papa at the end will wake me up during his turn saying 'yang xlarat yang, ngantuk sgt..kalu xtidur abg ni xleh drive rasanya esok ni'.. so hati isteri mana la yg xkesian dgr sang suami kata gitu tp esok paginya masa pi keje surely nyenyak ku tidur dlm kereta .setengah jam tu) .

I think it is normal for babies(oops I shouldn’t have called faheem baby anymore, i suppose) yes, toddler to wake up at night.
But there is one thing I am sure which is he won't be baby(or toddler) for ever.
I know one day I'll look back on these days and be all nostalgic.

salam pertemuan

Salaams

The reason why I open this blog is because sometimes I may want to give comments to bloggers 'out there' such as my friends, students and especially my hubby..hehe.

The other reason is, I would like to exchange ideas or info with them while at the same time I could also express my idea or knowledge yg xseberapa ni especially in breastfeeding, islamic banking and education (locally as well as internationally) area.

In this blog I will be using malay, english, arab, indonesia and mandarin languages.
